trustee

Who is my township trustee?

Jim Bolin.  A resident of Morgan county since 1961, Bolin comes to office after a long career in law enforcement.  Bolin joined the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department in 1976 where he spent ten and a half years before joining the men and women of the Mooresville Police Department (MPD) in 1987.  Celebrating his 20th anniversary in 2007, Bolin has held many positions including shift sergeant, four years as detective in investigations, four years as shift lieutenant, and currently is a day shift lieutenant.

Running for trustee was not an easy decision for Bolin, in fact he originally declined offers to run for office for a period of three months.  It was only after he prayed about it did the right people come and helped him see the need to run.  Bolin filed paperwork to run on the last day he was eligible to do so. He looks forward working with the new board members to improve areas of the trustees’ office including the fire department, poor relief, and cemeteries.

Bolin who retired from MPD in March of 2007 currently resides with his wife of 18 years Terri and  his two foster children Arial 9 months and Ashanti 14 months on North Kitchen Road.  He also has a daughter Lynn Davis, Monrovia, Natalie Baker, New Whiteland, a 26 year old grandson Derrick, and two granddaughters, 15 year old Kristen and 2 year old Hailey.

A message from your Trustee - Jim Bolin

To all those that had trust and confidence in me during the recent election, thank you, again.

As you all know, I have just taken office, and am in the learning process. I have numerous qualified personnel around me, and feel confident that I will soon start to shape up. However, I hope that you as Madison Twp tax payers will give me the time to do that, and, I am sure that you will.

If there are problems that I can be of help with, or something you think I should be aware of, I invite you to e-mail me at this web site, or call the office. I will then get back with you as soon as possible, and hopefully with an answer for you.

Thank you.
